Bear Pepper Mace Can Save Your Life
Thursday, July 28th, 2011
We saw another example this last week of how unpredictable nature can be. A group of young men were hiking up in thhe Alaskan wilderness when they went around a wooded bend in a trail and came upon a mother grizzly and her cubs, surprising them. The mother grizzly must have only seen the lead person because her reaction was that of a bear coming upon a solitary intruder, she turned and attacked. Typically, a bear will not attack a group of people but instead will swat her cubs into motion and chase after them. She attacked and several of the young men were seriously injured.
It is reported that the guys were carrying bear spray but not one of the reports shows that they actually pulled it out and used it. Bear Pepper Mace is an extremely effective bear repellent and has been proven to deter future attacks as well. One key point though, you actually have to use it for it to be effective.

Best quality images can be best achieved when light levels are within the predetermined LUX level. Video footages can be viewed in an LCD television but is best appreciated in high definition monitors which are ideal for security purposes. Just like viewing the programs in liquid crystal display (LCD) or plasma, a resolution of 1920×1080 is adequate to view a surveillance activity from a digital video recorder (DVR). Tips on Pet Friendly Alarm Systems
Wednesday, October 20th, 2010
People spend as much more money on pets than on home surveillance systems. Pets are treated like children in most of the houses. They make the owner happy with their funny tantrums and lovable acts. Most of the pets are more loyal and loving than friends and relatives.
Pets love moving freely. Installing a best home security system alarm will hinder their movement. Most of the motion detectors mistake their movement to be intrusion and start triggering the alarms. Relationships with neighbors as well as family members get affected because of this.
How to Motion Detectors Work?
Motion detectors use passive infra red rays to scan any object coming within their range. All warm blooded objects (living things) are considered as intruders. Once you install a motion detector in a room and switch it on, it will start to ring the alarm if any living form passes through it. Motion detectors cannot differentiate whether it is a mouse or a cat or man moving.
Hence chances for false alarms do not cease at all. Hence pet owners are forced to keep their pets locked in the chamber at nights and at times when the alarms are switched on. This is not preferred by both pets and owners. After all who would like to keep their puppy shut up in a small room for the whole day?
Advanced Motion Detectors
With frequent requests from home owner with pests and pet owners, alarm companies started to develop hi-tech motion detectors. They are capable of differentiating between pets and humans. They are programmed to monitor the motion of the intruder before triggering the alarm.
Animals move in a certain way and humans move in a different way. Modern motion detectors are capable of differentiating between the two movements. Hence they do not trigger the alarm when they sense the pet’s movement.
However hard the burglars try they won’t be able to duplicate the pets completely. These motion detectors are programmed in an advanced to sense human beings through their body temperature, breath and many other factors. So intruders cannot escape their advanced monitoring simulating the movements of pets.
Advantages of Pet Friendly Motion Detectors
1) We need not worry about false alarms
2) We need not wake from sleep often to switch off the alarms
3) Pets need not be kept locked. Since most people keep the alarms on when they go to office and at night time, it is not practically possible to keep the pets locked up all the time
4) Even if kittens and puppies jump over the motion detectors, there won’t be much harm as they are designed to detect pet motions and stay calm
5) Pet friendly motion detectors mostly come with wireless home security camera. Hence you need not worry about hanging cables which are the perfect target for dog chewing.
6) These pet friendly wireless alarms like most of the other wireless devices are very easy to install and cost very less. They are easily portable too.
Conclusion
Pet friendly alarm systems are highly appreciated by public especially elderly people who live in the company of their pets alone. These people are the target customers for most of the alarm companies and these alarms attract them like a pie attracting a child.
