Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011

If you are looking for the best Bed and Breakfast Colwyn Bay has to offer then look no further than the Bay View bed and breakfast. The building was constructed out of locally quarried stone in the early twentieth century. Built itself out of stone and proudly standing on solid rock it has spectacular views over the sea and town of Colwyn Bay in North Wales of Great Britain. The solid stone building provides guests with a peaceful and secure night away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre. The hotel has excellent views in the evening of the sun setting into the Irish Sea when all the lights come on in the town and along the promenade. In the morning you wake up to the birds and seagulls singing and can enjoy a lovely cooked breakfast in the bright and airy conservatory whilst taking in the extensive coastal views.

Reporting Ethical Misconduct to Your Boss

Monday, June 27th, 2011

If you are a worker at a job with some five star Singapore hotels, then you will always want to make sure that you report any ethical misconduct that you see while at the work place. You will want to make sure that you first are very sure as to what you saw. You may want to collect some documentation while you are at the work place, and you will want to see about getting a witness or two. After you are 100 percent sure as to what you saw, you will then want to make sure you are not doing anything unethical yourself. If you are, the other person who is not acting correctly will report you, and that will not serve you well at all. Be sure you are doing right yourself first, then go to your boss with the information, but not in such a way that looks like you are trying to harm the other person’s reputation.

Comedy Hour at the Palms

Wednesday, June 22nd, 2011

Yesterday, I asked my brother, who lives in Vegas about the upcoming las vegas events and shows along the strip since I will be flying there next week. Well, he informed of several. Unfortunately, none of them really appealed to me. So, he recommended the next best thing, check the Palms website. According to him, the Palms is one of the few hotels that has some of the major shows and events in the city. So, I did what he said and discovered that he was right. Under the upcoming events page, there were over 10 upcoming shows and events to watch out for. Since I will be flying next week, I decided to get tickets for the Playboy Comedy show that features Jon Lovetz, a guy who always cracks me up. I purchased online through the Palms website, and they gave me a confirmation number that I needed to present at the lobby of the hotel. However, while I was checking out their website, I saw the awesome accommodation options in the hotel. So, I cancelled my booking at Mandalay Bay and switched over to the Palms as the Penthouse suite, which was so much more luxurious than the room I got at Mandalay Bay was pretty much the same price.

Greek Dancing at Three

Tuesday, March 15th, 2011

We took the kids to Corfu for a break over half term. It’s not very hot in Greece in February but it is seriously warmer than here. We just fancied a change of scenery, and it was the first time our children had travelled abroad. Our youngest is three and our eldest nearly 7. During the day, it was warm enough to paddle in the sea and make sand castles. I just had to make sure they didn’t get cold when they got wet. The sun was still farily strong so we were all sun-creamed up to be careful too. It got dark fairly early, around 6 as it’s still Winter, so we spent a lot of time enjoying the evening entertainment, mainly in the corfu hotels, where there were lots of live acts- from singers to magicians. The kids loved every minute of it and took part in the talent show at the end of the week. We also found a wonderful family run taverna where they could get up and learn Greek dancing. Our three year old took to it with relish. She couldn’t stop smiling and all the locals were charmed by her. I think we’ll be going back. Maybe even this Summer. The thing about corfu hotels is that, unlike a lot of places we had visited before, the choice is better. Yes, there are some big chain places, but the majority of lodgings you find are family run and well kept. Being smaller, they tend to have more charm and the staff we encountered were friendly and very keen to please. I have made a shortlist of some of our favourites so we will think about planning something in the coming months. I know that Leila, our little one, will be practising her dance steps before then!
